The Folium Diary

Interview

Protocol has been completely scuttled. This episode was supposed to be Dispatch 7, and the interview with Professor B was supposed be yesterday, and...whatever. As Ferris says, life moves pretty fast – if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I didn't want to miss getting together with Jane and Daisy – we could be sisters!! Raff was on her best behavior and put on a real charm offensive – she took Jane out for a ride on her motorcycle while Daisy and I plotted our next adventure, which you'll hear about shortly. Raff and Jane came back with takeout from Buckshot Betty's, including 'Hot Mama' Betty herself, who followed them in her beat-up pickup truck that looks like it came over on the Oregon Trail. We had a great time, and many stories were swapped – some of them even true.

I hope you (yes you, with your earbuds on...in?...trying to figure out what the heck mushrooms have to do with anything) will forgive me for misleading you these last few months. The Folium is a journey, not a destination, and the last ten years are only the prologue - tomorrow is the real page one.

Ok, these notes are turning in to an essay/confession, and you're probably wondering when I'm going to just shut up and let you listen to the show. Very soon! After the interview I let Professor B tell one of his jokes, which will be posted later tonight. Let's just say he's an even better teacher than he is comedian.

Oh for heavens sake, one more thing: if you would like to learn more about Bucky's World Game, and the Folium sincerely hopes that you do, please visit the Buckminster Fuller Institute. Thank you Bucky (and Marshall!)

Your huckleberry friend, Cherie 🫐
